How Aimee would describe Ocean of Hope:
What started off with one person at the Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race in 2000 has become a grassroots movement by paddleboarders, outrigger canoe paddlers and ocean minded athletes who dedicate their year-long training and racing to the sea of people affected by cancer.
All of the money that team athletes raise goes to fund second opinion grants at The Sarcoma Alliance; these grants directly benefit cancer patients by helping them gain access to doctors and necessary medical treatments. The Sarcoma Alliance also provides cancer patients and their families with the guidance, education and support needed to navigate the scary world of cancer. Our team of athletes are proud to be a part of O2H. Every stroke, every paddle, every race tells a cancer patient "You are not alone".
